Can a daughter refuse to take equal share of property

After death of my grandfather his whole property came under the name of his 9 legal heirs (6 daughter, 2 sons and wife) among them his 6 daughter don't want to take equals share of the property they only want 50% of the immovable property share remaining they want to leave for there mother only so that later they can claim for there remaining property share if needed. Sir please through some light on this issues and let me know is it possible or not.

It can be done. For that you need to make relinquishment deed for all 6 daughters and get it registered in the sub-Registrar office. Let me know where the property is situated and also if there could be any objections from any other person's
