04-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
My husband's name appears on the share certificate but somehow it doesn't show my name (it could be a simple error from society office too) Though every page of agreement booklet has my signature because i gave the lumpsum flat money and even loan papers have my name and the agreement shows both my husband and my (wife) names my husband is alcoholic and jobless due to his drinking issues, my fear is that he will sell this house and eat up all the money I am hindu

This is my response to you:
1. Does the agreement have both of your names?
2. If yes then your name should appear on the share certificate;
3. You can always file a stay of sale in the court;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.

He cannot sell without your consent as you are the joint owner of the property.

Your signature will be required for any sale agreement.

So you don't worry about the same. With respect to the society, make your name appear on share certificate. Write to them.
