Buying of agricultural land in Karnataka being a non resident

I am central govt employee, have made up my house in Bangalore in BDA layout in 2014. I am basically from haryana, but interested to buy agricultural land near Bangalore or in Karnataka. How can I buy? I am already in income bracket of 15 lakh plus. Can I legally buy agricultural land in Karnataka?
