Buyer took property paper without paying amount now harassing us

We sold an agricultural land for full amount of 51 lac from that 11 lac has given as advance and agreement has been made mentioning that last date is 31 Dec 2014 , at the moth of December 2014 he came to us and took passbook saying that it will help them in making final sale deed . Now we don't even have either passbook or copy of an agreement. In March 2016 he came to us saying that he will register the land for same previous amount 40 lac but the mediator said that it is not possible for previous amount u has to pat 66 lac to get land registered. He just quit the meeting.Now from 24 Oct 2016 he saying that he will deposit the money in court and set registration done . From the whole extent of land 4 acrs were on sale cum GPA documents which was done 2005 and we sold the 4acrs land recently in Oct 2016 which were already included in the above members agreement. So what are the consequences should I face .

Since the contract has expired in the year 2014 the buyer has to pay you the monies as per current market price.
the other person even if he goes to court, the court will ask him to pay current market price only for the unsold piece of land.
