Builder asking late payment fine though possession is also delayed

24-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello, May i know whether i'm entitled to pay off the late payment interest even when the possession is delayed by 1 year? We did sign off an agreement stating that i cannot claim for a compensation on a delayed handover if my payment was not done on time. I agree that i had delayed a few of my payments but their interest charge has really stumped me off! 24% interest on late payment and they are demanding Rs.4 lac as the interest charge for the key handover and they are not willing to compensate for the delayed handover. I'm not sure whether i can claim for the compensation by filing a case because obviously the builders have the upper hand here with the signed agreements. The agreement do state that i cannot claim for a compensation if my payment is delayed and i'm not sure whether they have mentioned about the late payment interest charge. May i kindly request for your inputs? Many Thanks,

Please go through the delay in compensation clause, The builder should not be ask for the interest if he delayed in construction. Please approach local lawyer to send legal notice against the builder, Recently several judgements supporting the innocent buyers.
