Can this case be filled under senior citizen maintenance act? A mother age 64 is deprived of basic maintence by her son in the form of illegally occupying her shops and keeping rent for himself . can my mother get her shops back which is her means of livelihood under the domain of senior citizen act . she can't live with her son and daughter in law as it cud be intimidating for her life

Definitely, the mother can file an application under the Senior Citizen Maintenance Act seeking maintenance for herself. She can either file the said application herself or in case she is incapable, through any person or Organization duly authorized by her.
Simultaneously she can file a suit to recover the possession of shop back from her son.
If it is a self acquired property, she can either Gift it to any one she is willing to, or make a will for the said shop.
