Ancestral property possesed by the heir of original seller

We have ancestral properties which are jointly held by my father and uncles. During the land record digitisation process, one of the land details were updated wrongly and hence the dalals took advantage of that mistake and are claiming the land. They have surely bribed the officials and now have an upper hand. The land is a ST land and we have all the land papers prior to the record digitisation process. What legal process can we avail to get back that land and remove the encroachment?
Under this situation send the legal notice through Advocate to thr concern department with respect to fraud and also regarding entry of date in records, thereafter approach to High Court for the same relief.
