Advice on purchase of property

Am purchasing a flat in Mumbai and wanted to know the legal formalities involved in purchase Purchase is from flat jointly owned by husband and wife (house wife no income), Similarly am jointly purchasing the flat in my and my wife's name (housewife with no income) How do we fill Form 26QB, can we raise only 1 form and show the complete transaction? And complete payment is being made only to one person (husband), so do I require to file Form 26QB and split the payment and TDS between the two?

Dear Querist, firstly have you conducted a search and taken title report of the building where you are buying property. You can issue payment in single name also, where both seller can sign. And deduct tds only on one pan number. Same will be with your case. Regards, Rakesh V. Misar
