A nominee is only a trustee and does not become owner; ownership flows as per the WILL. If the WILL names 4 beneficiaries, the society is right to seek clarity/consent unless probate/letter of administration is obtained (especially in Maharashtra). Without this, societies usually avoid transferring title. You can either obtain probate of the WILL or get consent/release from other beneficiaries. If the society is still refusing despite proper documents, legal notice/action can be taken. I can assist you in structuring this correctly and getting the transfer done.
