Seeking Khula advice for a woman with a malignant narcissist husband

11-Jul-2026 (In Muslim Law Law)
My friend is a Shia and married into a Shia family. She has 2 adult daughters. She has been emotionally abused by her husband and his family for years. But there is no concrete proof. She wants Khula. Her husband and his family are a textbook case of malignant narcissists. We want to figure out how to navigate Khula from a malignant narcissist while protecting my friend’s daughter and herself. As I said years of emotional abuse has no concrete proof so what could form the basis of khula.

If husband doesn’t want to give Khula then you can’t force her & there is no way for it as pet Sharia law. The only thing she could is to hire expert advocate and file a divorce petition under The Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939. Plz be in touch Thanks
