Marriage on false information how can I protect myself

I m a Muslim. Everything in marriage is verbal. Marriage happened with the help of a match maker. He clearly mentioned verbally that it is on the basis of our family's reputation and we did not have any discussion about my educational qualifications. I unintentionally mentioned my incomplete education as complete. They are threatening me to take it to court. I have started with a degree cource as a remorse. What are the legal implications?
We will have to first understand that the facts mentioned hereinabove is in perspective of wife or husband. The legal advise differ in case of husband and wife.
If you are asking from the perspective of husband, then wife cannot take you to the court on this ground, however if there is any cruelty, then she can file complaint under Section 12 of Domestic Voilence Act.
But as mentioned, the advise differ on the nature of complete facts. Please provide complete facts so that we can advise you further
