Child Custody for my 3 year old daughter who is taken away in another

My husband and in laws are holding my child in a different state and are not ready to get my child back in Chennai. They have threatened me of dire consequences if I go to their state to get my child.
You have the option to file a child custody case under the provisions of Guardians and Wards Act, in Chennai itself.
The court will not reject your petition even if the child is residing in some other state.
After getting a decree in your favour you can file an execution petition to execute court order to acquire child custody as per court order.
