Yogi to officials: Allot flats to 50,000 buyers in Noida, Greater Noida in 3 months

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to provide 50,000 home buyers of Noida/Greater Noida in the national capital region get possession of their property in three months.The chief minister's instructions came after a high-level meeting was conducted at his office.

The Uttar Pradesh government had constituted a three-member committee of ministries comprising Suresh Khanna(urban development), Satish Mahana (industry) and Suresh Rana (Sugarcane development) to consider the problems faced by homebuyers.

After the meeting was attended by senior officers of the state government, Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and representatives of the builder.

Suresh Khanna told, “ Builders too have agreed to give possession to 50,000 home buyers in the next three months. The period of three months will begin on Wednesday. We have the option of acting against builders who do not cooperate with the state government on the issue.” As of now already 13 FIRs have already been filed. Khanna said a committee of experts will be constituted to consider issues concerning the remaining properties.

Currently, there are 44 real estate housing projects that are yet to obtain occupancy certificate in Noida and Greater Noida but the builders are yet to clear land dues to be eligible for occupancy certificate and offer possession to buyers. Alok Tandon, the chief executive of the Noida Authority asserted that he will be adhering to the direction given by the chief minister.
