Refund the full Token or part token

17-Feb-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
One of the party has finalised my flat for rent. He paid me a token of Rs.10,000. And on agreement day, he has cancelled to make the agreement. In this process, I have already lost 20 days and interested clients who were ready to take the flat on rent. Do I need to refund the full token or part token as I have already lost more than 10K because of him. Please advice.

Hello there! It depends on the terms and conditions agreed between you and other party. you can take some percentage out of it for compensating your loss caused due to sudden cancellation on his part. Have you had any communication regarding the same with other party?

If your tenant is decent enough you. May request him and he can allow you to deduct some amount however if you ask legally there is only an understanding and you may deduct partially some amount from the token money
