MedPlus Tenet not vacating after agreement completed

My father entered into registered lease aggreement with MedPlus for ten years which will expire on Oct 31 2022 and they are paying rent on time. As my father is 72 years he needs the property for his own use for re-constrction. So he sent advance notice prior 8 months to vacate the shop but they came back stating we need more time to find suitable shop kindly extend the time but we don't want to and there Medical licence expires on Aug 2023. How to deal with the same ?

Hi, So is the notice in writing? If you’ll wish to have the property vacated, they can stay only with your permission with further rents etc. Beyond which it would amount to illegal occupation. Now that you’ve already given a notice, you can enforce it at the end of the tenancy, if they are not moving out by themselves. Do let me know how I can assist you in more detail.
