Landlord pressurising me to vacate premises immediately arbitrarily

08-Mar-2025 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
The lease agreement of my tenancy expired in February this year. The landlord told me to pay the rent in cash to a third person and not transfer the rent to his bank account for March and that too an increased rent amount without any rent agreement. I was not comfortable in paying cash to any third person, hence I transferred the old rent amount to his bank a/c, so he started pressurising me with vacating the premises immediately and is now involving housing society chairman to pressurise me

Dear client based on your question, it is suggested that if your rent agreement is over then do renew your rent agreement and it is also suggested that not to pay rent to any third person without any written receipt. For further guidance feel free to contact us.
