Is it legal to rent a house to unmarried couples?

We are planning to rent our 1 BHK house on rent & have been approached by an unmarried couple. Is it legal to give house on rent to unmarried couple. As per law what are the things to check about tenants before giving house on rent to them

yes, it is legal to rent out an apartment to unmarried couple. Make sure that at the time of letting out the property you make a rent agreement in the name of both the person (couple) and get it duly signed by them to safeguard your rights for the future.
