How to know details of the person on whose name property is registred

my dad has a shop which he got it from his grandfather, however we still don't know who is the owner of that property. we use to give rent to the court itself but now since 1994 court has ordered us no to give rent to anyone. is that property mine? how can i know under whose name the property is registered?

You are in the possession of the property and there is no one to claim that property. Also you were directed by the court not to give rent to anyone, it is clear that you have the right over the property. But here you have not mentioned the location of your property and the nature of land. If you are occupying the DDA's, MCD's, or other Govt land then you would not have any ownership right over that encroached land.

Hello, can you please share the last judgement? Registration is possible but need to clear such things. You can only get to know about the owner from sub registrar office.

you can contact with your local SDM (Registrar) office under who jurisdiction the property is situated, to now who is the owner of the property. if the property is registered with registrar. the finding of the court in respect of property is totally on the merits and i cannot tell without seeing the court order whether you became owner of the property in absence of real owner...
