Eviction Suit to be filed in Barasat/Bidhannagar Court

Property in CF Block, Sector 1, Salt Lake City, Kolkata. Where would the Eviction Petition be filed - Barasat or Bidhannagar? Legal Notice has been sent against which the Op. Party has filed Caveats. Discussion, Drafting, Filing, etc. till Order is pronounced, what would typically be the Time Frame. Also, a consolidated Fee (excl. Court Fees and Miscellaneous) would help in narrowing down and expediting the process.

As the property is located within salt lake city, the suit may either be filed in Barasat court or Bidhannagar Court subject to the pecuniary jurisdiction and valuation of the suit. however, it is obviously better to file the same in Barasat Court due to the number of pendency in Bidhannagar Court. what legal notice has been sent that needs to be seen. We do not charge any consolidated fees, we have fees depending on the purpose and stages of the suit.

CF block, sector 1, Saltlake falls within the jurisdiction of Bidhan Nagar police station, so you need to file the case in Bidhan Nagar Court. Generally, such types of cases take longer time to be resolved. However, the time period depends on reasonable grounds and evidence submitted. The time period also depends on the number of cases pending in the concerned court. A minimum time period - 6 months to 1 year can be assumed. The rest depends on the merit of the case and obviously on the efficiency of the lawyer engaged.
