Evict suit to vacate a tenant in Bangalore
24-Dec-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
How long does it take to get a order in court in case of evict suits is filled in January 2022 for vacating a tenant for not paying rent for 2 years.
Eviction Suit is a civil trial in civil court that requires a minimum of 15-20 hearings in total. Keeping in mind Court vacations, public and state holidays, covid restrictions and so on, it can take 2 years and so on, maybe even less. However it is advisable to file the suit but try to settle it through courts assistance through lok adalat or mediation. Filing of a suit always make your claim stronger and gives the opposite party the fear that you're serious. If this is a commercial property then you can file an eviction suit in Commercial Court where mediation is the first step itself, before filing of suit even.

It completely depends on how the other side is contesting and your lawyer in transforming the case.
There is no timeframe one can guarantee, as such under the current circumstances of Covid and the restrictions in court proceedings, it’d take anywhere between 2-3 years. However this has to be tackled by your lawyer to speeded up the process and reasonably.
