Can I pay partial rent of month if I am vacating earlier than month?

08-Jun-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I am living in a PG in . The landlord never gives us a concrete receipt of rent. The only thing he mentions on receipt is "Received May Fees" and not the amount. I have completed my ordinary tenure of 11 months. But to stay extra in June, I was supposed to pay 15000 Rs. (Monthly Rent). Due to some issues I have to leave on 10 June for my home. I have already paid 6000 Rs which is technically 12 days' rent. Now the landlord's forcing me to pay rest 9000 Rs. else he won't let me leave. What can I do?

Just ask him to give all the proper concrete all months receipt as you need right now for your IT return purpose. And try to make some pressure on him that tenure and agreement period is already finished. And dont worry nobody can restrain you at any cost you can call the police and register a complaint as well. See landlord is not come with cleanhands, so there is no need to worry. Chill.
