Submitted fake Salary Slips what legal action can be taken against me

Before joining a new company (MNC) in May 2016 in Gurgoan, i submitted fake salary slips of previous employer for three months in which i have increased my salary from 18,753 to nearly 24,000 per month. The new employer found this on last Monday through background verification and confronted me. I wrote my confession about this on a paper & signed. They told me that to go home & we will contact you in 3 to 4 days for next course of action and taken my I card. I worked for 1 month for this new company. Can you please suggest what legal action this new company can take? can settle out of court

You must speak with the concerned person in the Company and try and settle the matter there itself. Although they have taken a written confession from you but they may not necessarily take legal action against you. Although they could take the matter to the police and have an FIR registered against you for committing fraud etc. But you must appeal to their good side and there would be a good chance that they may let you off the hook. If not then I would suggest you hire a lawyer.
