Regarding No objection certificate to join another company.

21-Nov-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am working in private company, recently i was selected as SBI PO. And as part of document verification procedure i was asked to submit NOC but it was mentioned in call letter and notification that people who are working in govt and public sector need to submit it. After i said i don't have.i was asked to submit undertaking and i submitted it. To get NOC when i approached HR, i was told our company do not provide NOC in general. In such case what should i do? Is it not mandatory for private companies to provide NOC to its employees? And what is NOC in detail?

NOC - No Objection Certificate. If a person is working in a company/organisation and gets a job in another organisation then it is usual for the new organisation to ask for NOC. The resaon is that to know that no pending dues are to paid to the old organisation. In your case you can give a formal requisition letter to the old company you worked and ask them and explain them the necessity to issue you a No Objection Certificate.
