Regarding job joining formalities

02-Jan-2025 (In Labour & Service Law)
I'm writing this to know if I should join a reputable hospital in Mumbai If they're giving me an offer but discussed all details in WhatsApp like salary structure and deductions. On e-mail they send just "Hi, we are offering you a position of xyz, Please carry so and so documents on the day of joining and then we'll share with you an appointment letter which will have all the details. Please revert on the same e-mail with your acceptance of resignation." So my question is Should I resign.

If there is an offer letter issued to you by the said hospital and there is no problem in terms of payment of salary to you as well as other terms and conditions then you may continue working. However, such official communications are always formal vide an email. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

Well, you can simply ask your new Employer to share all details with you on Email rather than on WhatsApp, as email is the more formal way of communication. To resign or not after getting an offer from your new Employer, it can be decided by you after discussions with me on call.
