If you are being forced to sit idle by the company itself then you are eligible for payment if it is the decision of the company. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

Well, if your Company has forced you to sit idle, despite selecting you and taking you on its payroll, then, you can seek compensation/Salaries from them for making you sit idle for so many months without assigning you your duties. If they won't pay you, you can file a Civil Suit against them to recover your Outstanding Salaries or compensation.
