Non payment of due salary after resignation

15-May-2025 (In Labour & Service Law)
In March 2025… i resigned from a private University in Bhubaneswar, last date of work 31.03.2025. However, February and March salary was on hold, despite no mention of notice period of probation in the offer letter. The due salary for those two months are yet not paid to me, and the HR department, when contacted only mentioned we are looking into it. Can they hold the salary like this? What can be done?

No your salary can not be witheld, you have to first make a representation and then proceed with a writ petition before the hon'ble high court. Your issue will be resolved posetively. I will be happy to assist you in solving is issue of yours.

You should put all the points you've mentioned here into a formal complaint letter and submit it to the District Labour Office in Bhubaneswar. If no action is taken or you do not receive a satisfactory response, you are advised to consult an advocate for further legal assistance.
