Clarification on laws defining the working hours of any college

Sir, Is there any particular timings as per law for a college to function in India or is there any limit for the maximum prescribed hours of teaching a college should conduct on a particular day.
UGC fixed the working hours of a professors in a college. Each university has its own norms about Working Days and Class Hours for students. Also the directorate of higher education in each state also issuing the orders with regard to the working hours of Colleges The colleges are directed to insist on a minimum physical presence of teachers for 6 hours in the colleges excluding the one hour lunch recess; depending upon the local conditions, the colleges will have a working hour pattern of 9 am to 4 pm or 9.30 am to 4.30 pm or 10 am to 5 pm. Each college should intimate the timing chosen by it to the concerned University and Government”.
More particularly, the College works under the five day system with two sessions-a morning session of three consecutive hours divided into three periods and an afternoon session of two consecutive hours divided into two periods. There is a lunch break of one hour in between the two sessions. The morning session starts at 9.30 a.m. and ends at 12.30 p.m. The afternoon session begins at 1.30 p.m. and ends at 3.30 p.m.
