Insurance company not giving approval for the claim what to do

My car met with an accident and i had gone for a claim and submitted all my documents and everything is done exactly like how is mentioned but the insurance company is delaying it .They are lagging it and not giving approval for the claim. What can be done . It has been a week since i submitted the documents .They say they are still on the process and they dont recieve calls at times.
You will have to send a legal notice to your insurance company regarding your Claim and then depending on their response, be prepared to file a case before the Consumer Court as per your claim amount against the company for deficiency of service.
