hello there are few leading cases where the calculation is suggested on the basis of type of injury like simple, grievous and fatal. the various factors like age, number of dependent, income status losses of opportunities are being considered and then the payable amount is calculated.

There is a formula for calculation of compensation. It depends upon various factors like your age, income, future prospect (depending upon your nature of employment) total number of persons dependent upon you, extent of disability etc. Medical expenses can also be reimbursed.
