Want to go to US to give interviews what visa do I need

18-May-2023 (In Immigration Law)
I used to work in the US on H1B visa. I was there for the last 4 years. In Feb 2016, I resigned from my job and moved back to India because I wanted to spend some time with my parents. Now I want to go back. I am talking to some companies in the US who want me to come there for an interview. It is my understanding that I would require a B1/B2 visa for this. I'm not employed in India currently and I'm worried that might affect my chances of getting B1/B2. How should I proceed to maximize my chances of getting this visa? Thanks.

You could apply for a B-1 visa application. Please ask the U.S. employers to provide you a letter/formal e-mail attesting that they want to invite you for job interviews. Not being employed in India can pose a hurdle but you can fill in that void through evidence that you were taking care of your parents. Feel free to discuss, if need be. Good luck!
