Procedure to obtain Indian passport to a Mauritian citizen.

Hello, i am currently living in Ireland, but i want to apply for a Indian residence as my nationality is Mauritian. due to my grandfather being Indian i want to travel to india and may be staying there for long as i have plenty to find regarding family roots etc. Please i need an advice on how can achieve my goal. Thank you.
You can get Indian citizenship by registration or by decent under 5(11) of Indian citizenship act. For that online application is available in the website.you have to surrender your moritius passport in the Indian high commission at moritius, you have to give publication in the daily news paper regarding renounciation of moritian citizenship and pay Indian rupees of 500 as fees, you have to produce evidence of your grandfather's birth certificate , passports other details issued by Indian government for proof of decent. After getting Indian nationality alone you can apply for Indian passport.
