Want to leave my father and claim for maintenance from him

my mother died three years ago. after her death i handled the home alone and my drunkard dad too because i was at that time and i was also under relatives pressure. now my father has been torturing me mentally as he drinks everyday and i want to leave him but my relatives ajd family are opposing me. how can i leave my father legally? And can i claim for maintainence as i am still studying.

You are not clear your age status. Without knowing about age and status I am unable to guide you properly. However if you are unmarried daughter and is unable to maintain yourself then you can claim maintenance from your father.

if house is in the name of your father than he can evict you from house legally, moreover if you are major, you can not claim maintenance. regarding over drink of your father, you have to solve this problem with the intervention of your relatives.

In case you are major you can leave at any time there is no restrictions on you you can claim maintenance in case you are minor and in case you are major and your father has no source of income then he can claim maintenance from you
