Transferring mother's acquired property to one of the 3 children

04-May-2023 (In Family Law)
I am Christian and we are 3 sons. My mother likes to give the property in her name to me. Some of our family property is with mother and some with father. Other two sons are getting the share from father. I would like to know the procedures I should follow while registering it In my name. I read somewhere that if I don't get written permission from my brothers, they have the right to claim a share in mother's property even after registering it in my name.

No. You need not get any written permission from your brothers for the same. Register a settlement deed to transfer the property in her name to your name. Once the settlement deed is registered in your favour there is no question arises further.

Hai.

Your query needs perusal of documents. Need to verify the last registered title deeds n latest land tax receipts of the properties in question.
Once u get them registered from ur mom and if those properties belonged to her alone, ur brothers cant ask for it further. Anyways there are alot f things to be looked into in such cases. Any ways... perusal f documents is much necessary in ur case for effective disposal. Either have a meeting or contact a Civil lawyer f ur choice before finalising..

Hope am upto ur query
