Single mother wants to adopt a child already have 2 children

29-Nov-2023 (In Family Law)
Can I adopt a child from a single mother ? The mother is unmarried having already 2 children and the third is expected to be born in December 2017. The father of the child is the mother's boyfriend and parents are not legally married. So my question is can the child be adopted without father's consent ? What is the documentation to be followed ? Is order from court required ?

The adoption to be legal has to hsve courts order. There an act/law pertaing to adoption and guardian. Person desirous of adoption has to follow, if Hindu then Hindu adoption n guardian act. Law takes all precaution for safety of the child. Yes consent of both parents mandatory. You may consult me for any further assistance in all family mattets.

You can adopt the child. However you have to get adoption order. Both need to file affidavit before the family court, district court or civil court as the case may be. However conditions under sec 61 and other regulations have to be satisfied. After the courts order you would be considered legal parent.
