Regarding address in death certificate
17-Oct-2024 (In Family Law)
My father have been missing for nine years so we filled civil death case in our village to file our name in land which is located in our village. However, when my mother went to talati for pedhinama he said that adress in death certificated must be same as in Adhar card
if this is the case
Can we change the address?
if not then what can be done to do varsai in land which is located in our village
In your case, since your father has been missing for nine years and you've initiated a civil death declaration, it’s essential that the address on the death certificate aligns with official records like the Aadhaar card for processing legal succession (pedhinama) and land inheritance (varsai). If the address on the Aadhaar card differs from what is recorded, you can apply for an address correction or update on the Aadhaar card through the nearest Aadhaar enrolment center or online via the UIDAI portal. Once the address is updated on the Aadhaar to match the required address, you can proceed with submitting the corrected documents for the pedhinama. Alternatively, if changing the Aadhaar address is not feasible, you may consult with the Talati or local revenue office to see if an affidavit or additional supporting documents could be accepted to confirm identity and address for succession processing.
