Marraiage has to be postponed for one year due to sudden death

my brother agreed to marry a girl but my grand father expired recently and we have to postpone the marraiage for one year because of funeral works to be done but girls parents are not listening and asking us to marry immediately but as a family we have some sentiments and we are telling that we will get the marraiage done by next year but they are not listening to us.solution please

No marriage should be held on pressure or by force. free consent is essential. coming to the present matter, always the bride's parents want to coclude the marriage ceremonials after fixing alliance and then, better to cancel the alliance at any cost.
