Is marriage of maternal uncle and niece a valid marriage?

My grand father had a step brother who had a daughter and three sons.My grand father had two sons and two daughters. I am son of my grand father's elder son having an elder sister whose adult daughter wants to marry to the son of my grand father's step brother's daughter's son.Is it valid marriage? We in family call the aunt 'bua' and his son is 'mama' in relation to my niece. Is this relation legal? Aunty is not born to my grand father but his step brother.What the provisions are under hindu marriage act 1955?
As per sec 5(iv) of HMA 1955 , parties in question is within the degrees of prohibited relationship. And thus marriage is not a valid. But same is valid under Muslims law.
