Is Major girl and a minor boy's marriage legal in India?

A girl who loves a Hindu boy her family surely won't allow for a marriage so her boyfriend said if your parents doesn't allow you for a higher studies I will support you for your studies you just run away from home a girl age 19 and a boy age 20. At present is it legal or illegal according to Indian law
As per the Hindu Marriage Act, the marriage between the 20 year boy and 19 year girl is not void as they have married with the consent. However,the same act prohibits child marriage (boy - below 21 years, girl-below 18 years falls under the category child) and hence the boy and the girl can be imprisoned for maximum 2 years with or with out fine of which may extend to 1 lakh.
