Is it legal in India for a 20 year old boy and 21 year old girl to live together without getting married ? Is it legal for us to live on our own ? and learn and then marry after a couple of years ? or can the parents file case against us ? we are adults and we decide where we stay right?my father is going to file a case against my gf's family and gf ,stating that she forced me to stay with her..
On November 28, 2013, the Supreme Court had held that live-in relationship is neither a crime nor a sin, while asking Parliament to frame law for protection of women in such relationship and children born out of it.
