HUF- Share of children given out for adoption- Widow's share

07-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
My brother in laws -3 of them, ( husbands eldest brothers) have all passed away.My eldest brother in law ,has three male children ( eldest passed away 3 years ago) & all were given for adoption during 1968-1970. Now can his widow gift/will her share of property to these two sons/ grandchildren. To my knowledge the major property was divided in 1958-1960,but still there are some more common properties. Are the two remaining males who have gone for adoption & the grandchildren have any legal rights & can the widow gift/ will her share. Is she entitled to any share at all since there was already a division/ partition of the property during 1958-60.

Your sister-in-law inherits her husband's share of property after his death. She can legally gift or will away her exclusive share of property to anyone, including her children who had been given in adoption.

HELLO, WIDOW CAN SHARE HER PROPERTY TO HER GRAND CHILDREN OUT OF THE DECEASED HUSBAND’S PROPERTY SHARE. IF UNDIVIDED PROPERTY IS THERE THE LEGALLY ENTITLED SHARE CAN BE BEQUEATHED AND SHARED TO WHOMSOEVER THE WIDOW WANTS TO DO. THE CHILDREN GIVEN ON ADOPTION CANNOT CLAIM ANY RIGHT.
