How can one protect oneself from mental harassment by brother in law?

My husband is currently undergoing the treatment for brain haemorrhage. I brought him to my in laws place for treatment. My brother in law is accusing and threatning him saying that my husband's conduct is not good. Sometimes he threatens him to beat him up o yelling or using very bad words and finally he says that he is gone a police complain and put him in a Jail. How can I save my husband and my teenage children ? Is there any protections for my sick husband who also suffers from memory loss.. How can an Indian laws help me? Also aware that my brother in law is eying for ancestral home, where we are all staying now. Please help..
