Harassment enquiry received by constable over Whatsapp

The girl and I, met in Canada (both Citizens) over dating app and were considering marriage. However, 1 month before marriage, I decided to delay it due to some reasons. The girl filed a sexual assault case in Canada, and now her father filed a harassment complaint against my family and myself. Constable reached out over Whatsapp to my family asking them to join for enquiry and sent a letter over chat.
