Can the spouse ask for bank details during maintenance proceedings?

Sikh. I want to know If my wife can ask for my income details and I have to furnish salary slips and bank statements. She will be asking for maintenance under section 125Crpc and Domestic Violence. Parallely a case of nullity is going to start in October against her. Because her divorce was through a panchayat nama. And how much time the court can take before granting her interim maintenance.
yes, the court can ask for the income details and you will have to file your income affidavit as per Kusum Sharma vs. Mohinder sharma judgement. the court can grant interim maintenance on the first date or any of the subsequent dates depending on the procedure and the application of the Petitioner for interim relief.

Wife of Sikh can be entitled to maintenance from her husband even after the divorce and until she remarry or she had sufficient source for maintenance. It is further clarified that she can claim maintenance under domestic violence as well as under section125 of code of criminal procedure however husband is liable to pay single amount of every month for the maintenance.
