Can my in laws force me to give money for household expenses

Please tell me whether a working married woman is bound to give money for household expenses to in laws? And If she leaves her job for any reason and her husband asks for leaving him if she quits her job then is it right? If no then then what will be the penalty?

You are under going a mental cruelty, which has relief under the Protection of women under Domestic Violence Act, as well as other marriage related Acts, and you also have remedy under the criminal laws, but first of all you need to complaint before either police or Magistrate which we could help you. Which shall in turn invoke punishable offence against your in laws and husband.

If you are married is registered under Hindu marriage act then your husband is entitled to claim maintenance. if not husband can not claim money from wife. This is form of cruelty, collect evidence like video not audio and keep it with you. If any husband and wife decide not to live with each other. no court order an direct the other to live together.
There is nothing like Penalty concept.
