No, as you are falling under the decree of Sapinda relationship from your mother's side. As from mother side five generation (inclusive) in the line of ascent through the mother in case of Hindu. but it also depends on customary law as in south India, this sort of marriage is permitted.

Sir,

You seem to have developed the relation with a distant cousin. Though she may be your cousin but there is no bindings according to Hindu Mitakshara Law as it is a very distant relation and does not fall under prohibited relationship, according to custom. So you may not marry her without knowing your school of Hinduism, as it may fall under sapinda.

Respected Sir,

World and Indian subcontinent society is strictly feudal in nature. Further details can be understood from the faith registered with the birth, marriage and deaths register. Also its always wise and practical to go with the majority rule and not with something innovative. I suggest you be deeply religious and conservative rather than break society norms.
