I am very much guilt because of me she is suffering this much. Please tell me the way she can come out and live with freedom specially continue her studies.
If a girl is locked in a house by her parents due to being in a relationship, several legal remedies may be available depending on the jurisdiction and specific circumstances. The girl or her representative can file a writ of habeas corpus in court to contest her detention. This legal action seeks to determine whether the detention is lawful and can result in her release if deemed unlawful. If the confinement is accompanied by threats or acts of violence, the girl may seek protection under domestic violence laws. This could include obtaining a restraining order against her parents. Depending on her age, if she is legally considered an adult (typically 18 years or older), she may have the right to leave her home and engage in relationships without parental consent or interference. If the girl is a minor, she can contact local child protective services. They can intervene if the situation is deemed abusive or neglectful, ensuring her safety and well-being.
You can file for a writ of habeas corpus before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi (Provided she is 18 yrs old) and only if the girl would support your case because in many such cases it is seen that when family does such things with the girl and she has lost all communication with you in such cases even if you would take a stand for her, she might not support your case and you would have to bear further repurcussions for the same. It is better to consult over a call .
The woman has the right to lodge a complaint with the police. Confining an adult is a form of unlawful detention or wrongful confinement
You can contact the National Commission for Women (NCW) or State Women’s Commissions. These bodies provide support and intervene in cases of illegal confinement or mistreatment of women.
