Procedure to change father name in TC

Hi, My father name is mispelled in my transfer certificate. I completed my B.Tech. I noticed this issue after my graduation. When asked for the correction of father's name, office staff said to change in school to get the updated certificate. Please advice me on this how to get it done. Thank you.
You have to contact your school to get your father's name corrected in the school records. If necessary, relevant records with the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education have also to be corrected. You should produce appropriate documents where your father's name is correctly spelt.
