How To Obtain a Divorce Decree
01-Nov-2025 (In Documentation Law)
My divorce was finalized in 2020. It was a mutual divorce. After both motions were complete I applied for 3 certified copies of my judgment which I still have with court stamps and everything. I was under the impression those orders are called divorce decree, but it's not. Please guide me how can I get an original court decree from Dwarka Court.
Similar to how you have procured the judgement copies, you may fill the certified form and apply for their certified copy. However as the matter was disposed off in 2020 so you might have to locate as to in which record room is your file.
Kindly connect with a local counsel as this will require a lot of dealing with the Court staff and things take time in such matters.
Apply for the certified copy. In the section on the right where you must specify the documents required, mention that you need the complete paperbook along with the order and the decree sheet. If you only need the decree sheet, then mention only “decree sheet.” Also ensure that you fill in the date of judgment, case number, and case title while submitting the request.
