Wife left me and now sending maintenance notice what action can i take

my wife went to delivery to banglore in 2013 april after that she didnt came here . so we called several times to her parents to send her daughter but they replied we are not sending. we called every 2 months once they said same way. and they send a lawyer notice on 29-12-2015 that i am not taking her to his home so i went to meet the lawyer i met the lawyer he says ok i will fix a meeting to both of u to solve the problem. but both lawyer and her family not came at that place.ow they send a notice for maintnance .so please advise me.
It will be close to 3 years(by april) since you are seperated from wife and child. The wife will not be eligible to claim maintenance if she has deserted you. Better send notice for restitution of conjugal rights in the court where you reside now. If she comes back, well and good. Or else you will need to proceed with divorce. You need not pay maintenance till court issues you a decree and from what you said, it is a case of your wife deserting you and hence she cannot claim maintenance.
