Wife filled Maintenance Case on NRI husband

Hi sir, My wife filed Maintenance Case on NRI Husband Australia. I did not receive notice due to Registered post is not delivered to me In India by postman. Present Court Online status is "Petitioner called absent. Issue fresh notice to Respondent through court and RPAD on payment of process.". My advocate is saying wait for few days till next hearing. What I have to do?

Hello, I don't think it will be wise on your part as the Learned Court can also pass an order against you in your absence. That will then reflect to the Court as you are striking off your defence. Thus waiting doesn't seem like a viable option.
